Finished another project..hurray, I'm on a roll. This is what I store my dog food in. It was just a cream color so I painted it black first then did the mustard yellow. Sanded it down just a bit (more then what is showing) but since this gets used every day I figured it would get its own wear out of it. I also did my trash can the same way (below picture) a few months ago except I used red paint.

Oh my, my trash can is just like yours, different color, but made the same! And i was just talking to DH about building something similiar to keep the dog food in!

I have one really similar that's red. When I had cats I put my cat food in it, now I keep rags in it.

I love the mustard color...as a matter of fact it is my new prim color of choice!
I never thought of putting the black on the bottom...I have a project that I am working on, and these two colors will work great on it!
