New banner again

Hi everyone, I'm still here, still recovering from my cold, it just seems to keep hanging on but getting better everyday. Haven't been doing any crafts lately as all I have left to make is some more Christmas items and I'm not in the mood to make them. Slowly taking my Christmas stuff down, all of it will be down by New years Day though.
Changed my banner and it looks more prim then the other one so that's good. Hope you all have a good weekend and find some good deals at the stores as that's what I will be doing.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone, hope you all have a great day and you got everything you asked Santa for. I am fighting a nasty cold so have been doing nothing but staying warm and resting. My family party was nice, we all had a good time just being together.
Happy Holidays to you all.

seasons samplers

Just got these little season samplers done, for being small they sure took awhile. Not sure what I will make out of them yet but they sure are cute. I haven't been doing too much crafting this week, been busy working and getting ready for Christmas. Finished my shopping yesterday and now I need to get ready for my family gathering next weekend. Looking forward to Christmas being over, I love the decorating part but that's it. I hate every thing else about it, buying presents, crowded stores, crabby people. etc. At least it's only once a year.

Little pillow

Here is a little Christmas pillow I made, it took hardly any time at all to make this. It is not as dark as it is showing up in the picture though.

Macho Santa

Here is my most recent santa, he reminds me of a macho man with his arms sticking out like that..lol. I think I liked him better before I put his eyes on, and this was my first attempt at doing a nose like that and I think that turned out really well. (If you click on the picture you will get a bigger image.)

Stocking swap

I joined a stocking swap over at Hidden Haven Homestead and I received my stocking filled with all these wonderful items. My favorite item is the little nativity set, it's so cute, it reminds me of the precious moments people. Check out her site, love all her stories about the animals. http://hiddenhavenhomestead.blogspot.com/

Friday

Thank goodness it's Friday, why is it the first week of going back to work after vacation really stinks? At least it went fast.
Here is one of the Christmas wooden bowls that bought last week at The Christmas Tree Shop. I painted it barn red although it is showing up brighter then what it is and I added some of the big jingle bells that I got at Wal-mart for .97 a piece.

Some snowmen that I made for my crock, it could use a few more though I think.

ornies

Here are some ornies that I just finished up for one of my trees. I did add eyes & beaks to the crows, but they are still so hard to see on the tree. Need to make a few more as there are bare spots on the tree.

New treasures

My newest treasures from last week. Some were bought at the new store we went to check out called The Christmas Tree Store, they do not sell just Christmas stuff. It is kind of like a Big Lots or Odd Lots store, they have some really good deals there and I cerainly will be going there more often.

Got these wooden bowls at The Christmas Tree Store. The are big bowls that measure 12 inches round and I only paid $2.99 for each of them. I am going to paint over the snowman in the inside. On the way home I got so mad at myself, for that price I should have bought all that they had and I could have resold them on ebay for much more then $3.00..oh well..

These hand soaps are just like the kind that you can buy at Bath & Body, but they are bigger and only cost $1.00. Much cheaper then Bath & Body which in my opinion is way over priced.

This guy was only $2.99 also, he had an accident on the way home. His arm got broken but it is still hanging on. He is made of paper mache.

This handmade reindeer I got at an antique store near my home. It's set up like a big indoor flea market with lots of booth, every booth is a different seller, but they have employees who work there not the sellers. Most of the stuff is old so they consider it an antique store. Paid $7.00 for this guy and he is huge, a great deal I think and they did a great job on this guy.

Got this toolbox at the same antique store for $16.00, another great deal as this is a huge one. Seen others at the same store which were smaller and cost more. Have to find something to put in it now.

My Tree

Here are the pictures of my tree. I always say I'm gonna make more ornies for it but just never get around to it.

Made this star when I was in grade school. It does have one point broken off. A few years ago I broke my favorite ornament that I made in Kindergarten. It was a Christmas ball glued on top of a ice cream cone. I can still remember making it, and every year no one else was aloud to put it on the tree, only me. I was so sad when I broke it. I can't even blame any one else as I broke it myself.

A few of these guys are among the branches

Made these a few years ago, they are made with felt. Very easy & fast to make.

These guys are also made with felt but have fabric hats. Made them with different colored hats. Seems I have more snowman in my house then anything for Christmas.

Hope you have enjoyed the tour of my house all decorated for Christmas.

Living room tour

The rest of my living/family room pictures. I am having problems with my tree pictures, they keep disappearing so I will try them again tomorrow, hopefully they will load then.
\
This wreath is on my front door, another ebay purchase. I'm an ebay junkie..lol

This is hanging on my bedroom door at the top of my staircase, some of the snowflakes have lights in them and they light up. I usually don't turn it on though as it goes through batteries like crazy. The top wire part with the spirals is to hold cards but I don't use it for that. Another ebay purchase for $1.00, plus shipping.

The next 3 santa pictures I bought at the local thrift store for $2 or $3 a piece, can't remember which. The are on the wall going up the staircase. Could not get them all in one picture.

This picture and the next are the reminder of my nutcracker collection. They go on the steps every year. I'm surprised they have never gotten knocked off by dh or the dogs.

Another tree and a cute wnyter picture from ebay again. I am working on some ornies for this tree.

The top of dh computer desk. Don't mind the mess on the shelves, I clean it and he makes a mess soon after.
I will try my pictures of the tree again tomorrow and I will get some outside pictures tonight when the lights are on.

More of my home

This is my living/family room decorated for Christmas.

Here is the snowman angel that I made.

Bought this snowman garland from ebay last year, it's cute.

Hubby bought this Santa years ago and I always have a hard time finding a place for him as he is not prim.lol..his hand does move back & forth but I never plug him in. Underneath in the bowl is some more snowman I made a few years ago.

Bought this guy from ebay also, he hangs on my basement door.

This is one of my trees, the bells that I painted will go on this tree. Underneath is a prim santa my Mom found at a yard sale, and the reindeer I just got today and will show you a better picture after the tour is over.

This is my quilt cabinet, it used to belong to my Grandmother and my Mom had her salt & pepper shaker collection in it for years as we were growing up. On the top is a snowman that my Mom made for me and inside on the shelf is the prim snowman that I just finished. The wooden toolbox I also just purchased today and I'm looking for something to put in it, used what I have for now. It looks like a baby puke color, but is actually more of a mustard yellow. Tomorrow I will show you the rest of the Christmas pictures including my big tree.

Prim Snowman

I only have a few minutes as we are off to the Poconos to check out a store called the Christmas Tree Shop so I will not be posting any pictures of the Christmas tour of my home today but I wanted to show you all the new prim snowman that I made. He is not as white as he is showing up in the pic, I did tea stain & bake him. I will be back tomorrow and we will continue with the tour of my home.

Kitchen for Christmas

This is my kitchen for Christmas, there is a lot of little items in here as there really isn't room for anything else.

This ceramic tree was made by my Grandmother and my Mom passed it down to me.

Added this smowman to the wreath.

I haven't made it to Wal-Mart to buy the big jingle bells that they have so I added my little ones that I painted because the bowl looked some empty just sitting there waiting. This is on my kitchen table.

A tree and santa that sit on my stove top.

Some smowmen that I made a few years ago.

My hutch already for Christmas. On the top is more of my nutcracker collection. (If you click on the picture you will get a bigger better picture and be able to see the nutcrackers if you want)If you look to the left into the laundry room you can see my computer is decorated for Christmas also. Yes, my pc is in the laundry room, it's the only place left in the house to put it as we are turning my old pc room (real small) into a big walk-in closet, plus it's too cold in that old pc room...brrr

Love this snowman that I bought awhile back. I am working on some snowman to add to the crocks, the snowman that is there now is for my Mom so he is not staying there.
That ends the tour of the kitchen, come back tomorrow for some more pics.
